As I was sipping my pumpkin spice latte and reminding HubZilla that we need to check out Pier Imports for some reed diffusers, the door bell rang. Who could it be? it’s 7:30am for heaven’s sake! Hmmm, Mr. Fedex guy left a mysterious box at the front porch.
Surprise, surprise. Good thing it’s no Chucky doll but a Popsugar Must Have September Box! My first, since becoming a Popsugar Select Beauty Blogger. Panting like a dog, I hurriedly opened the package.
The Big Reveal.
Chucky doll asks, what makes Popsugar Must Have different from other subscription boxes?
Well, at $35 a month (free shipping), you get full-sized and premium items ranging from beauty, fitness, fashion, home, and whatnots. For September, it was all about home and DIY. Happy now?
Heaven must have heard me. I wasn’t kidding when I said I need new reed diffuser so to receive one, a full size for that matter, was an absolute thrill.
Retailing for $45 (8 oz), this Barr Co Diffuser is undoubtedly my favorite from the set. It features notes of milk, oatmeal, vanilla and vetiver. It emits a relaxing and sweet fragrance inside my home office-slash-makeup room.
A crafty woman, yep that’s me. Before I ventured into beauty blogging, I used to have an online shop for my handmade accessories so this DIY hard cover book is like a present from a friend who knows me from the very tip of my hypothalamus. (P.S. You’re Invited, $26)
Look, a super cute and easy DIY- lace ballet shoes!
I didn’t know Kitsch has headbands until now, do you? It’s nice that it holds my hair in place without feeling like my brain is squeezed to the nth power. A set of five (depending on the style) retails anywhere from $12+ to $25. It also came with a 20% off coupon code.
Okay here’s a lil trivia about me. I despise water or glass marks on tables. Call me and hub OC but coasters are strategically placed around the house. I don’t mean to be a witch hostess but I politely remind guests to use coasters or you see my eyes rolllllll, haha! Having said that, let’s welcome a new addition to the coaster-obssessed familia ($16/ set of 8, Rifle Paper Co.)
I’m a heavy online shopper so it’s always nice to discover new websites that cater to my beauty and fashion wants. Take note, not needs but wants, haha! Shoptiques.com features top-of-the-line style finds from different cities around the globe. Let’s see what my $25 gift card can get me.
Finally, I also received a fruit snack and energy bar. That’s It tastes good, and at 100 calories, it makes a healthy snack. I gave Sharkies energy chews to hub, he said they taste like gummy bears.
So if we are to purchase all these ($25 gift card included), it’s easily over $100. For $35 during the first month ($39.95/mo, auto renew) plus free shipping, I think it’s worth a try.
You can subscribe to Popsugar Must Have here.
As of this writing, October is already sold out but you can start reserving for November, how’s that?
’til next time,
Kathryne
Isn't it great when something you need arrives, as if it is meant to? 😀
yeah, it's like serendipity!
I'm crazy about coasters, too! When my boyfriend and I moved in together, we were trying to find coasters at Target, Kohls, Wal mart, ANYWHERE. We couldn't find ANY. Finally just bought some online… how do people live with water rings??! 🙂 Awesome box. I would love to try a reed diffuser. How does it work exactly?
LOL on water rings. There was one episode on the show Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David's take on water marks/rings are uber hilarious! Reed diffuser is basically fragrance oil absorbed by reeds. The scent lasts long, 4 months max, based on experience.
Yay I'm happy to see That's It Fruit Bars! I love those!
It's the little things right? happy tummy!
Looks like a great box!
yeah, especially because of the full-sized reed diffuser
I love subscription boxes, but I don't think this one is worth the money 4 me. $35 is higher than some o the bills i pay each month
Hi Krystle, gotcha! there are so many subscription boxes, it's really a matter of choosing the best one which works for anyone's budget.
That's a great box! Love those coasters and head bands!
Hi Harshleen, 'been rocking these headbands to work (big bun + headband as pictured)
Nice box, I love coasters too!
yay, I'm not alone w/ the coaster-mania!!!
Did you HAVE to use a Chuckie image? Chuckie and the clown from IT are the things that scare me most in life. Well, them and wrinkles.
OMG Kimmi, I have to show you our real life-sized Chucky doll here, it's really scary!!!
