Stop blaming your shaky hands or the lack of skills. Experience is the best teacher. Try and try until you nail it. Trivial as it may sound but today we will touch-base on the dreaded cat-eyes. Yep, it’s super fabulous yet it remains a challenge to most of us. Raise your brow if you agree.

One thing I tell you, the finer the felt-tip point of a liquid eyeliner, the more precise your cat-eyes are. The softer the tip, the more you can maneuver, hence less room for error. So far, I have pleasant experience with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, Stila All Day Waterproof Eyeliner, and Eddie Funkhouser.

Now on to the quickie tutorial. Face the mirror and inhale. Don’t over-analyze, it’s just a line my dahlings!

1. Draw a diagonal line from the tip of your outer eye corner, pointing up. The higher the line, the more dramatic your cat-eyes will be. I’m all for natural yet flirty. I deal with patients, and last thing on my mind is to scare them, hahaha!

2. Drag line down, stop at the middle of your eyes. Again it’s a preference but if you want a subtle cat-eye effect, this is the best tip I can offer.

3. Now fill in the space in between and extend the line to your inner eye corner but keep it as close to your lash line as possible.

Made a mistake? dampen q-tip with makeup remover. That easy!
