I can’t think of any product that is as glorified as the ole’ bronzer during summertime. From runway to your neighborhood, you see girls rockin’ bronzed skin. Makeup, spray, lotion, high-end, drugstore, they’re all over the place, enticing you and me to buy that promise of sun-kissed perfection.
So how are you wearing your bronzer? Or more succinctly, where else do you use it? I don’t know about you guys but I consider bronzer an unsung multi-tasker. Have you ever thought about these?
Shimmer bronzer applied on the eyelids. It makes your eyes glow ala- J Lo, seriously.
Matte bronzer for eye crease. It creates depth and defines your crease in a subtle way.
Shimmery golden bronzer for legs. It slims your legs when buffed from the bottom of your butt cheeks, down to the center of thighs, legs and around calf muscles.
Matte bronzer for instant boobage. With a contouring brush, apply bronzer in between your breasts to fake ample cleavage.
The key is to use matte for contouring and shimmer for highlighting. Needless to say, you have to choose a bronzer that compliments your skin tone; your safest bet is one or two shades darker. Stay away from anything orangey or you risk looking like Oompa Loompa #nobueno
My current go-to matte bronzer is Hourglass Superficial Mirage. You can find my review here, in case you are curious.

Yes I trough about all you mentioned but , the leg part is a kind a risky, I'm afraid to leave bronzer spots anywhere. But you know what I am looking for? the perfect bronzer to carry on my bag. I have a Physician formula one I won in a give way, that has matte and also shimmery on it, but it broke in my make up bag , I still use it at home, but I have to be very careful.
Your choices are wonderfull.
great to know you share the same thoughts on bronzers! time for you to get a new bronzer :-)))
What a great idea!! I may have to try the cleavage suggestion! 🙂 I love the look of the Korres bronzer, so pretty!!
Thanks Amber! revealage of the cleavage (inside joke between me and my hub), go for it!!! xo
Hooray for finding creative ways to use products! I love using bronzer as a shadow, it looks so natural, plus it sort of pulls together the whole look 🙂
