It’s Mask Time with Andalou Naturals Pumpkin Honey Glycolic Mask

Got nothing to disclose y’all

Granting you’re a skincare junkayyy, my next question is… how often do you mask? Once a month, twice, etc? Is 3x a week categorically an overkill? Then I’m guilty as charged! I don’t know about you but I associate mask with pampering, a.k.a “moi-time”. Lights dimmed. Eyes shut. Ten minutes of nirvana.

I have oily yet aging skin so I’m always on the hunt for anything brightening and rejuvenating. I purchased this Andalou Naturals pumpkin honey glycolic mask ($14.95, Drugstore.com) because it has glycolic acid which is a good skin exfoliator, pumpkin which is high in Vitamin A and C, and honey, a popular home remedy for acne. Looks like a good recipe ha?

Ingredients:

Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) Puree (Organic), Aloe Barbadensis Juice (Organic), Aqua, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Oil (Organic), Vegetable Glycerin, Manuka Honey, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Ananas Sativus (Pineapple) Juice (Organic), Glycolic Acid, Sodium Hyaluronate, Xanthan Gum, Malus Domestica (Apple), Solar Vitis (grape), BioActive 8 Berry Complex (Organic), Lecithin, Saccharum Officinarum (Sugar Cane) (Organic), Calophyllum Tacamahaca (Tamanu), Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Oils, Ubiquinone (Coenzyme Q10), Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate (Vitamin C), Aspalathus Linearis (Rooibos) Extract (Organic, Free Trade), Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Cinnamomum Cassia (Cinnamon), Myristica Fragrans (Nutmeg), Eugenia Caryophyllus (Clove), Pimento Officinalis (Allspice) Powders

Aside from the all-natural concoctions, it’s note-worthy to mention that this brand is vegetarian and cruelty-free, and made without sulfates, petrochemicals, GMO, phthalates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, colors or preservatives.

Now here’s the main ‘thang- it does sting beauties! Like for a couple of minutes so I’d say turn on and face the fan when using this mask!! But other than that, I like the subtle pumpkin pie scent and the way my skin appears brighter and feels smoother after rinsing.

What’s your favorite mask?

Ooh, I've been meaning to check out Andalou Naturals. I personally don't use masks much anymore, but in high school I used to always this one from umm Queen Helene or something? Some really inexpensive drugstore brand. It was supposed to be for acne. I feel like it probably just dried out my skin (so then it was both acne AND flake-prone) but meh. At the time, I loved it

Thanks for stopping by my namesake (tho spelled differently). So far I have only tried this one from Andalou's. I have acne prone skin too… Aging + acne, such a bad combo I'm dealing with…. sigh!
