Gifted

You know when it’s raining yet the sun is out? a half-man, half-horse is getting married. That’s Philippine folklore. Ever had a visitor in your home who kept saying she will leave yet stays? She could be a witch. That’s Portuguese folklore. Don’t piss Pele, goddess of volcano or she will spew lava. That’s Hawaiian folklore. Passed from one generation to the next, folklores are as old as human race. Vampires you said? see you at the movies.

Folklore is the subject of Laura Mercier’s Summer 2013 collection. Inspired by the Aztec civilization, this collection features bold earthy tones perfect for the summer. Or spring. Or fall. Or Winter. I say so because the shades are all-encompassing, particularly these eye shadow and lip crayon my fairy glam mama unknowingly gave me…

Illuminating Eye Color (Sun Glow), $24, 2.5 g/ 0.09 oz.

Available in three shades, let Sun Glow cast its spell on you. With a luminous warm gold pearl finish, I prefer to apply this eyeshadow damp for a more vibrant look.

Don’t dare look or you turn into a three-eyed frog!
That’s TheFabZilla folklore.

With its enchanting stance, I command this lip crayon (called Folklore) to suck the blood out of you.

Lip Crayon (Folklore), $22, 2.70 g/0.09 oz

Also available in three colors, Folklore is hot pink sans the screaming factor. Meaning, it’s totally wearable even if you’re the neutral girl- type. The packaging reminds me of Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain. It is soft and quite hydrating on the lips but not as long-wearing as I expected it to be.

Wear hot pink to make your dreams come true!
Oh yeah that’s TheFabZilla folklore.

Solve the riddle or get lost in the labyrinth of misfortune! Neither a witch nor half-horse but she can fight the green-eyed monster with her what?

Moi wearing Sun Glow eyeshadow and Folklore lip crayon.

You can purchase these or the entire collection from Laura Mercier or Nordstrom where I got mine.

Still solving the riddle?
