And then there were 12. Out of all the products I have discovered and tried in oh-twelve, these were the ones that swept me off my feet. Love ‘to the pan, cherish to the last squeeze. Heart-a-flutter, Repurchase, fact-o-matter!

1. Futurederm Time Release Retinol 0.5% is the mildest retinol brand I have tried. I use it nightly, after toning and before moisturizing. Can’t stop aging but at least I can delay wrinkles.

2. LORAC behind the scenes eye primer does better than Urban Decay primer potion. My eye makeup stays intact even under the hot Hawaiian sun.

3. Immuno-viva renew anti-aging serum has certified organic oils (cranberry, raspberry, sunflower, etc) that help reduce wrinkles, dry skin and dark under eyes. I use it mostly to hydrate my eye area and dry hair ends.

4. Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-hour full coverage foundation works perfectly well for my oily skin. It is long-wearing, lightweight and has SPF 15.

5. MDSolarSciences Mineral Screen Tinted Gel SPF 30 works like a primer and sunscreen in one. It applies smoothly and fragrance-free.

6. Jurlique Citrus Purifying Mist has witch hazel, Vitamins E & C and lemon balm which help mattify and hydrate my face. I use this as a toner and makeup finishing spray.

7. thebalm Nude’tude is my most used neutral palette in 2012. The eyeshadows are very pigmented, soft and easy to work with.

8. I honestly felt sad when Tarina Tarantino left Sephora so I snagged Dollskin Cheek Palette for the last time. There are four shades (3 shimmery, 1 matte) that flatter every skin tone.

9. Physician’s Formula Organic Wear (Peachy Glow Bronze) is my go-to finishing powder whenever I want that sun-kissed glow, which is basically everyday!

10. butter LONDON All Hail The Queen is my ultimate favorite neutral nail polish.

11. Skinn Cosmetics James Dimitri Triple Wheel Concealer has the right amount of creaminess and coverage to hide my dark under eyes and blemishes.

12. Revlon Just Bitten Balm Stain is my best drugstore find in 2012. I like the idea of not retouching when I’m out and about.

What about you? What’s your top product discovery this year?

  • one thanks to you millani liquid eyeliner

    • my pleasure. how are you celebrating new year in your country?

    • Hi, Island, we just reunite with Family and eat together after 12 o clock we listen to christmas songs, new years songs, see fireworks , and then everybody goes home.

It is the best make up I had in years, the best eyeliner that I ever have worn

  • I'm glad to hear the LORAC Behind the Scenes eye primer made it on your top 12 list. After finishing my NYX HD eye primer, I opted to give TFSI a go. I absolutely adored the texture, feel, and my increased ability to blend eyeshadows on TFSI but I had a terrible allergic reaction. I don't know what the offending ingredient/s is/are, but I suspect Bismuth Oxychloride. BO is in most of the top primers, like UDPP and NARS Pro Prime. I got a sample of the LORAC primer yesterday and I hope that I find it as great as you do!
