I’ve been searching hi-n-lo for a mascara drugstore brand that is (1) cruelty-free (2) devoid of marketing nonsense jargon (3) smudge-free. You see I have no great expectations from a mascara. Those ads are seriously an insult to a woman’s intelligence, don’t you think so? No way I’d have those magical tarantula lashes without falsies or photoshop.

I had a positive experience with milani liquid eyeliner so I thought of giving this mascara a try. I mean other than the catchy “runway lashes” on the label, it doesn’t boast of any patent-pending technicality technology.

Both brush and bristles come in classic shape & size. This mascara promises a smudge-proof and non-clumping finish with long-lasting wearability. Question is, did it deliver? Mascaras are best evaluated with before-n-after photos, ready ya?

From drab to fab! I’m impressed how my boring lashes came to life with two coats of milani runway lashes. Now the big test, will this smear by mid-day? I hate how mascaras do that to my under eye area; nothing seems to work even if I apply eye primer or skip eye cream!

So 9 hours after, no smudging mama! My under eye area didn’t need retouching at all. I’m smitten! Clumping issue is relative; if you apply more than 2 coats, it will, most mascaras do. #factoflife

face of the day

I can’t think of any negative thing to say so YES! this is my new go-to drugstore mascara. At less than $5, that’s what I call bang for your buck!

What’s your cheapo holy grail mascara?

xo,
Kathryne
