Call it luck if I can get five hours of uninterrupted sleep. This week had been so toxic, I could be a contender for the next energizer bunny. Tired and hungry from work today, I downed a glazed donut and the next thing I knew, I was awakened with this awful saliva dripping from the side of my mouth. Yikes! But I felt renewed, mind you. Alright, fresh from the shower and with mah skin glowin’, ‘think am in the mood for some blog-lovin’!

One of the nicest things about blogging is discovering beauty brands outside my comfort zone that is Sephora. Products that are underrated yet surprisingly enthralling. Such is the case with immuno viva-renew, an anti-aging serum marketed by Botanic Innovations, a natural supplements and skincare company.

Product claims: revitalize, rejuvenate and moisturize skin naturally; certified organic oil blend helps reduce wrinkles, scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, dehydrated skin and dark under eye circles.

Key ingredients: organic cranberry seed oil, organic red raspberry seed oil, organic sunflower seed oil, organic black cumin seed oil

Oil, oil, oil. And I have oily skin. You see my skin is ‘kinda bipolar. As you might be aware of, my face is gifted with the mostest grease you can describe but my under eye areas are dry.

renew (1 fl oz 29.6ml, $49.95) comes in a glass bottle with pipette glass dropper. It has a relaxing aroma that makes it conducive for night time skin care. It’s free from paraben, silicone, petrochemicals and synthetic fragrance. Cranberry seed oil is said to have Vitamin E that fights free radicals; Red raspberry seed oil is high in Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids which makes it a potent anti-oxidant; Sunflower seed oil also has Vitamin E; Black cumin seed oil is rich in Vitamin A, amino acids and omega 3. Could this be the recipe for that elusive fountain of youth?

The big reveal! Despite the oil concoctions, this serum is so lightweight. One drop is enough to moisturize my dry under eyes. It is absorbed easily, and the best part – it didn’t irritate my skin. Though not mentioned in its variety of uses, 4 drops of this oil provide hydration to my dry hair ends. I don’t have big scars and I am proud of my stretch marks hence I can’t evaluate on these aspects.

Bottom line, I have a positive experience with this product so if you are into natural and organic skincare, renew is worth checking out.
