My relatives are in town for a week vacay so the young auntie (with emphasis on the word *young*) in me joined them for a day out in the beach. Perfect spot ~ Ko’olina. Lesser crowd than Waikiki, I can literally count heads yesterday. Kids decided to try paddleboard and kayak. Young auntie hopped.

With a resplendent view like that, it’s easy to get carried away and be unmindful of the time. Paradise is an understatement.
So while chillaxin’ under the palm tree, I thought of doing a “What’s in my Beach Bag” post.
I got that metallic bag when I attended a Nordstrom beauty event last year. Curious to see what I randomly brought yesterday?
Excluding towels, diet coke & apples, these are the only beauty stuff inside that bag: Rainwater Botanicals Natural Sunscreen (bought from etsy), Bath and Body Works hand sanitizers, Revlon Balm Stain (sweetheart valentine), Bloom lipstick (Cranberry), Blink lubricating eye drops, toothpick, iPod (forgot the headphone, useless!), and The Body Shop Love Etc purse spray. Minimalist, yay!
It’s a sunscreen fail with a capital effin’ f! Last month, I bought this sunscreen from etsy because I want to go natural. I don’t think this protected me at all. As in. So I applied it generously and I couldn’t believe that I turned horribly pink. My back and arms are burned and sore. Le Hub had to rub aloe gel last night because I can’t even lay flat on bed. Dang! So either this product is a fluke or the Hawaiian sun is simply toooooo hotta!
Have a fabulous weekend!

What gorgeous pictures. So sorry about the burn. I'm so sensitive to the sun that I can feel your pain all the way in Michigan.
Thanks much Marcia. I had trouble sleeping the past nights because of badly burned back. Sigh!
