“I want to buy eye makeups that are great for everyday use especially for my day job. What neutral palettes can you recommend?” ~ Z
Hi Z! Like you, I have a day job so wearing neutral hues is second nature to moi. Get naked, nude and wet! Ha, don’t think otherwise, I am referring to these eyeshadows worth checking out….
If money isn’t a concern, I say buy Naked by Urban Decay ($50, Sephora, Ulta, urbandecay.com). In fact, this maybe the only palette you’ll ever need. It has 12 varying shades of neutrals that can take you from day to night. When you buy this palette, you’ll get free eye brush and eye primer as well. I had this palette for over a year, the eyeshadows are very pigmented and long-wearing when used with a primer.
Another favorite is Nude’tude by theBalm ($36, thebalm.com). It has 12 fantabulous neutral shades that you can experiment with. I threw away the flimsy eye brush that came with this palette though. The darker shades (Serious, Sleek) are great for lining the lash line.
Finally, if you like to try drugstore brand, I suggest checking out Wet n Wild. At less than $5, you get good quality eyeshadows. In days I want to rock barely-there eye makeup, I use this particular palette “Greed”.
Have fun shopping!
xoxo
Great palettes. I have UD Naked 2 palette, but I really want the original one, too.
I only have the original UD, they're somewhat similar though
Thank you for mentioning the Wet&Wild palette! Ey always have such great, affordable colors and really do wear well. They may be cheap but I love to mix them in with my pricier brands. And ps the Naked palette rocks!
Hi Megan. I love Wet n Wild! Their eyeshadows are comparable to department store brands, plus they remain to be cruelty-free. Thanks for visiting my blog!xo
