Look Well-Rested In 3 Ways

Sleep is a luxury to most of us. I’m a busy bee and much as I try to get ample amount of sleep, there are nights I simply can’t switch off my brain and snooze. Add the snore of my furry baby to the equation, ‘betcha I’m a walking zombie the next day. Makeup rescue moi!

Following your usual skin care and makeup routine, let’s focus on the following:

1. Banish eye bags and dark under eye circles. Use a concealer one or two shades lighter than your skin tone. With your ring finger, dot the concealer in a triangular pattern just under the eye or where your eye bags or dark circles are most visible. Blend with a concealer brush and buff out with a dome brush. Set with translucent powder.

2. Keep eye makeup to a minimum. Heavily-lined eyes emphasize dark under eyes. Opt for bright colors like purple, green and teal but use them sparingly. Apply a coat or two of mascara.

Simple yet fun. Let’s go green!

3. Wear pink or peach lip gloss. Aside from faking sexy and plump lips, it also deviates the attention away from those unsightly eye bags.

These are great tips. I try to get as much sleep as I can but usually during the working week I'm really sleeping less than I should be! I find a bit of highlighter also helps 🙂
