How do you remove your makeup? I have tried a gamut of ways but fell in love with Micellar. Such an endearing name yeah? Micellar is oil in water, or to be more specific very minute particles of oil suspended in water. It removes makeup the gentlest way possible without the need to rinse with water. I’d say it’s the new BFF of girls too lazy (or tired) to wash their face!
I have been using Vichy Calming Cleansing Micellar Solution for over two months (200ml, $16.50, Ulta or vichyusa.com). It has a mild rose fragrance which leaves my skin feeling smooth and fresh. It takes about two damp cotton pads to fully remove my makeup, from eyeshadow to lipstick except waterproof mascara. It is free from alcohol, soap derivatives and colorants.
Another fah-voh-ree-toh is Yves Rocher Micellar Cleansing Water (200ml, as of this writing it’s on sale for $10.50 at yvesrocherusa.com). It has botanical ingredients such as green and white tea extracts to name a few. It doesn’t leave my skin any oil residue and it takes about two damp cotton pads to remove my makeup. It is very soothing and didn’t break me out.
This woman ain’t going back to traditional makeup removers now that micellar is in her beauty arsenal.
xoxo
I haven't tried any micellar waters yet but these two sound promising? Does the Vichy one feels oily/ greasy or leave a residue?
They're nice makeup removers. Vichy doesn't leave oil residue. I have oily skin and it feels the same as washing your face. Thanks for visiting my blog
Hi there! Been meaning to try one out for the longest time now, but just curious if you need to double cleanse or rinse the product off after? Thanks! 🙂
Micellar is as good as washing your face w/ water. No need to rinse. But I still end up washing mine just before bedtime though. Thanks for visiting my blog
Thank you for review! I recently tried Coh Gen Do water and loved it a lot!
Pleasure is mine. I'd probably try that brand too once I'm done with these 2. Thanks for mentioning
