100% Pure Organic Cucumber Eye Cream Gel

Earlier this month, I wrote about my new beauty dilemma: dry under eye area despite having a greasy face. Age is a big factor because the skin around the eyes mature faster. I’m into natural and organic products lately so I decided to purchase 100% Pure Organic Cucumber Eye Cream Gel from Dermstore ($18).

The Buzz. A soothing eye cream with super light formula for immediate hydration and comfort to eye area. With organic ingredients such as cucumber that calms and relieves dehydrated areas. Tired-looking eyes are perked up for an instant awakened appearance. Other ingredients include Green Tea, Vitamin E, Vitamin C, among others. Certified vegan, Paraben-free, PETA, Leaping Bunny, 100% natural.

The Bust. It’s a cream more than a gel, consistency-wise. It is packaged in a 30ml- glass bottle with pump dispenser. It is lightweight and absorbs easily without leaving a greasy residue. I use this before bedtime, one pump dispenses a pea-sized amount (see photo above) which is enough to cover both eye areas. It has a very slight cooling sensation. I didn’t experience eye irritation of sorts and I like the fact that it did hydrate my under eye areas. My gripe? It’s the scent baby! Though it’s not that annoying but the cucumber scent is a ‘lil off. Think fake or synthetic fragrance. It could be the combination of all natural ingredients, but that’s just my guess.

Over-all rating: 3.5/5 if you’re looking for natural and cruelty-free product that hydrates the eye area, you may like this.  At 30ml, this may last me for a few months. I just wish the scent is a bit more inviting.

xoxo

I need to try this. I have combination skin and dry under eyes. Is it worth the price?

It's mild and gentle and hydrating enough for my dry under eyes. At $18 for 30ml-bottle, it's economical because I only use pea-sized amount. My only complaint is the slight cucumber scent w/c to me smells synthetic. Not a big issue though and I'll continue to use this. Thanks for visiting my blog.
