The Bust. As in my previous posts, I admit that moi wasn’t born with flawless skin. Up to now, I still suffer from adult acne and my face is ridiculously oily sans all the oil-controlling products I use. While I am quite satisfied with my other go-to foundations (Make Up For Ever Mat Velvet+, Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation, Origins Youthopia, Revlon Colorstay among others), I have not found yet that really caters to my needs. Until now. And I am hooked, seriously.
This foundation is full coverage without the heavy and cakey feel. As you can see from the above photo, it’s thick yet it blends effortlessly. I absolutely love the fact that it is water-based and devoid of parabens, which explains why I didn’t have new breakouts from wearing this foundation. It has a matte-finish which is ideal for oily skin, and as a result it helps reduce the appearance of my very visible pores. I noticed that it has dimethicone (a primary component in face primer) from its list of ingredients so I wore this two ways: with and without primer. With primer, it lasted a good ten hours with minimal shine issues. Without primer, I’d say seven hours with noticeable shiny T-zone. I also like that it has SPF 15 minus the nasty scent of sunscreens. Most of all, knowing that this makeup is never tested on animals made me a convert.
Over-all rating: 5/5 I love it and my search for that ideal foundation is tentatively on halt. The only drawback from your end is that this is something that needs to be tested and bought in stores (if this is your first time) since the color range is limited to eight shades.

Great post! I was thinking of going for the MUF mat velvet+ but after reading this, I'm definitely eye-ing this one.
In comparison to MUFE, this one is more lightweight. MUFE dries fast and in humid weather, it feels sticky. This has more product too at 50ml compared to MUFE's 30ml.
wala dito nyan s atin eh.. sayang!!
Hopefully you'll have it soon there.. Tarte is a good brand, I'm a fan of their blush-on too
