I’m a sucker for long-wearing makeups because I hate the idea of carrying too much beauty products in my purse. In short, anything that has “long” attached to the brand, moi will gladly try. What’s there to lose especially if it’s priced under
$5. No, make it $2.25 to be more precise.
Enter Essence’s Stay With Me Longlasting Lipgloss. Did it really stay? Love or leave?
|Sexy applicator, eh? ~ reminds me of “coke bottle” shape|
Let’s cut to the chase. Here’s a lipgloss you’d love because it is pigmented (which by the way is an overused and abused word in the beauty community). It is quite creamy with very subtle sweet scent. It isn’t tacky ~ which leads me to the hate part because it didn’t stay long! (shhhh! the tackier/stickier the lipgloss, the longer is the wearability). This yummyness only lasted for one hour with significant pigment reduction thereafter. By the third hour, hue be gone. Sigh. Trendsetter is hot pink and I Like Cotton Candy is mauve pink. The applicator bends and conforms to your lips as you apply it.
What’s the deal then? If you are looking for an affordable lip gloss, this isn’t entirely a bad product. It’s something I’d wear again for quick errands, on its own or on top of a lipstick. Just don’t fall into the promise of long wear. But then again, it’s still relative to your preference my zillahs!
