Laura Mercier Exclusive Colour Collection (Limited Edition)

Subscribing to my favorite brands thru email has its pros and cons. All these exclusive online deals behave like a seductress undressing in front of me. Pocket-wise, it ain’t good babe! But when it’s a deal,  it’s a ‘helluva-steall! You snooze, you loose. Case in point- Laura Mercier Exclusive Colour Collection.

6- piece collection for eyes, cheeks, lips (in a cosmetic bag)

A $167 value but retails for $65 at Sephora , this set was part of Laura Mercier’s one-day deal last holiday season. Guess how much I paid?  Only $38 for this entire collection! Tell me if that didn’t whet your cosmetic appetite. Now let’s get down to the details and evaluate if they’re worth the impulse buy:

Coral Diamond Lip Glace (full size)

This lip gloss is undoubtedly my favorite from this collection. It is a pink-coral shade with brilliant shine finish. Very sexy in a subtle way!

Aquamarine Baked Eye Color (full size)

This eyeshadow is a miss for me. It is only pretty from the pan. Oh em gee ~ huge fallout issues whether I applied it wet or dry, with fingers or brush. It could’ve been an interesting shade but sadly, it didn’t work for me.

Sunsoaked Bronze Second Skin Cheek Colour (deluxe size)

I like how this ‘lil beauty gave my face that sun-kissed boost. I have used this both as blush-on and bronzer and boy, I love how it complimented my medium skin tone.

Foundation primer (deluxe size)

I have been using this primer together with LM Silk Creme Foundation for so many years now so to see that it is included in the set is definitely an eye candy. This primer is all you need to make your foundation last long.

Full Blown Volume Lash Building Mascara (deluxe)
Double-ended Eye Colour Detail Brush

I have been using LM’s mascara for a while so with it being included in the set is a manna. This particular mascara amps my lashes to a volume I am delighted with. Always. The accompanying eye brush is a bonus as I don’t own any LM brushes yet. The bristles are soft and dense to say the least.

Splurge-worthiness rating: 4/5 Definitely a must-try especially if you are new to this brand. It could’ve been a perfect 5 if not for that unflattering and messy eyeshadow!

xoxo
