While out and about yesterday, I spotted this mini nail set from the Essie Better Together collection at Target (about $7). It includes lacquer and top coat in 5ml bottles. Another menehune* in my beauty vocabulary.

School of Hard Rocks, a gray-green-teal shade is part of Essie’s Winter 2011 Cocktail Bling Collection. It is muted and has no ostentatious glitter factor, kind of an irony from its bling-a-ling name. Not that it’s bad though. In fact, I like how it exudes subtle elegance for this season.

That’s how tiny they are. Something for the elfettes, lol!

The finish is opaque and it took only two coats to achieve this awesomeness….

This chilly weather makes my hands really dry.

* By the way, menehune is a tiny creature (small people) with superior crafting abilities in Hawaiian mythology. I use it loosely to describe small items with remarkable features, similar to the saying “small but terrible- in a positive manner*
