I don’t have a lot of NYC products in my cosmetic armament so an addition of one or two at a time wouldn’t hurt. I can’t pass on this beauty- what with its sleek packaging and promise of non-sticky gloss! So without second thoughts, my love for lip products won over my urge to control impulse buying. Sigh.
what an eye candy they are, right? |
I picked up two lip glosses to try out. Since I’m into pinks lately, I chose Fashion Ave Fuschia (579) which is actually a lot less like hot pink when applied. Alongside, I got the Brighton Beach Peach (573) which is a shimmer gloss that appears more of nude when applied.
Swatches are misleading. They look different when worn. |
The packaging is commendable, at least for a drugstore product. The scent is reminiscent of vanilla-caramel, which I liked. The applicator wand is a little longer than traditional lip glosses and it bends to facilitate easy application.

This lip gloss is good enough for everyday wear, but if you want a more intensified look, I suggest to wear lipstick first (preferably of the same shade) then top it off with this lip gloss. It’s not sticky and for a price of about $3.00, it’s a fair deal.
Additional Product Information:
- Available in 10 shades
- With Vitamin E that moisturizes lips
