I know some of you may find this quite revolting....it's tougher for me to search the perfect nude lippy as opposed to the reds and berries of this world. Too light a shade rivals a corpse, too dark a chain smoker. Yeah I'm nitpicky like that so let me cut to the chase, ladies and gals, I present to you these five nude lippies which successfully passed the litmus test.
Let's start with a Spring release from Marc Jacobs, the New Nudes Sheer Lip Gel (reviewed here). Understudy is peachy pink with moderate color payoff. It's a great everyday shade, dainty and very lady-like! Plus, isn't the creamy beige packaging chic enough to grace your designer purse?
Next is Gucci Audacious Lipstick Spring Rose, a dreamy peachy pink beige shade which perfectly compliments my skin tone. It's quite moisturizing so applying lip balm underneath is unnecessary.
Peachy beige seems to be in my neutral vocabulary because Charlotte Tilbury Kissing Fallen From The Lipstick Tree Hepburn Honey is another one. Can't blame moi, it's like how you gravitate to the same shade of red because you believe it's your jelly-jam. Why fix if ain't broke.
A beautiful pinky brown with sheer appeal, Giorgio Armani Rouge d'Armani Pink 503 is very moisturizing but with the least pigment compared to the other four. This shade is universally appealing, I can't imagine it being a miss to someone, trust me.
Finally, the darkest but still neutral to me by any means, Edward Bess Ultra Slick Lipstick Forever Yours is rosy brown. It glides with ease and has moderate pigmentation. It's neutral with an attitude, kinda like a soft-spoken girl who swears when hungry, haha!
