Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 (Review)

Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 review
:: sample received ::

Regardless of the season, there's something I can't, won't and will never skip when it comes to skincare: Sunscreen. Premature wrinkles, age spots, and our worst nightmare, melanoma are all caused by harmful UV rays emitted by the mighty sun.

Given my busy routine, I rely on multi-tasking products to make things easier and faster, especially in the morning when I'm crunched for time. So I had the chance to try Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 ($65, 1.7 fl oz/ 50ml).  Will it be a great addition to my arsenal? keep reading mah ladies!

In addition, another important aspect of my daily skincare regimen is hydration. Whether you have dry, oily or aging skin, moisturization keeps the skin looking supple and youthful. Wouldn't it be nice to have both sun protection and moisturizer in one product? Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery offers the logical solution!

Active Ingredients: Avobenzone (3.0%), Octinoxate (7.5%). Other ingredients: Water/Aqua/Eau, Ethylhexyl Methoxycinnamate, Butylene Glycol, Carthamus Tinctorius Oleosomes, C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Cyclopentasiloxane, Glycerin, Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane, Dimethicone, Dimethyl Capramide, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-5, Aniba Rosaeodora Wood Oil, Rose Flower Oil, Pelargonium Graveolens Flower Oil, Helianthus Annuus Seed Oil, Eugenia Caryophyllus Leaf/Flower Oil, Citrus Medica Limonum Peel Oil, Saccharomyces Cerevisiae Extract, Citrus Medica Limonum Peel Extract, Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract, Algae Extract, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Lecithin, Glucosamine HCL, Arginine/Lysine Polypeptide, Tocopheryl Acetate, Squalane, Sodium Hyaluronate, Polysilicone-11, Glycine Soja Protein, 1,2-Hexanediol, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Cetearyl Alcohol, Stearic Acid, Ceteareth-20, Sodium Polyacrylate, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Sodium Acrylates Copolymer, Decyl Glucoside, Polysorbate 80, Urea, Galactoarabinan, Glyceryl Polyacrylate, Polysorbate 60, Aminomethyl Propanol, Disodium EDTA, Phenoxyethanol, Ethylhexylglycerin, Linalool, Eugenol, Limonene, Geraniol, Citronellol, CI 77891.

Dermalogica Dynamic Skin Recovery SPF50 review

The nitty gritty. I like that this comes in a pump dispenser-type bottle, talk about ease and asepsis! I smell a hint of herbal scent which dissipates after few minutes. It feels light on the skin and gets absorbed pretty fast, not that I have microscopic prowess to look beyond my epidermis, haha! But seriously though, I like to use this in combination with Dermalogica Skin Hydrating Boost Serum to give my oily yet maturing skin the moisture it needs. It does not enhance the greasiness nor eradicate it like magic. For someone who loves the outdoors, I like that it has SPF 50! Furthermore, it is paraben-free and devoid of artificial colors and fragrance.

While dimethicone is generally safe and in fact used in a lot of cosmetic products, some people do break out because it can also trap the impurities so that's something you should consider. But other than that, if you're looking for a moisturizer which offers excellent sun protection, Dynamic Skin Recovery is worth checking out.
