If you're a frequent reader of this blog, I think at this point you know that I tend to gravitate towards lipsticks more than any type of makeups. Once in a great while though, I break the monotony. Tell me, how can you not ogle, drool or be mesmerized with Guerlain Terracota Sun Celebration Bronzing Powder and Blush ($76, 16 g, .56 oz)? I mean, it simply is the most exquisite creation to grace makeuplandia.
This limited edition multi-tasking compact celebrates Guerlain Bronzing Powder's 30th anniversary. Housed in a sophisticated domed wooden case with gold emblem, it features satin-soft matte bronzer and pink and coral blushes. It closes magnetically which makes it sturdier and travel-friendly. The scent is intoxicatingly divine; if you love floral fragrance as much as I do, my guess is you will enjoy this bella at first whiff.
Honestly, the packaging alone sold me. I hesitated swatching because I want to preserve its beauty more than anything. But moi gotta fight this frivolous attitude so here we go...
As previously mentioned, you get a taste of bronzer and blush from this compact. You can wear each each one or swirl your blush brush in all shades for that ethereal sun-kissed glow. The shades are moderately pigmented but definitely buildable. If you have light to medium skin tone, the bronzer gives your face a certain warmth without looking muddy or oompa loompa. The sun at the center which I initially thought as highlighter was an overspray. The shimmer was gone after four uses; it worked to my advantage though because I avoid anything that accentuates my craters.
Say hi to my bangs.... I used coral blush and bronzer for my #FOTD.
