You've heard and read about it. Fashion designer Marc Jacobs is coming out with a beauty line exclusively sold at Sephora and select Marc Jacobs store beginning August 9, 2013. As a Sephora Beauty Insider, I received an email for a sneak peek of his collection; and being half-asleep as I was (no thanks to Nyquil) this palette was added to my virtual cart in a flash.

At $59 for seven eyeshadows, my being sick with cough and cold made it as an excuse, more like chicken soup for the soul. This woman gotta have it, you see she's coughing and sneezing. Maybe Marc Jacobs will be her healing oil. So imagine my excitement when finally this baby arrived last weekend!

Housed in a handy and sleek black case with add-on pouch and eyeshadow applicator (the ones that you throw because you trust your eyeshadow brush better), I am more than thrilled to try and swatch the eyeshadows. After all, I paid $59 for quality more than aesthetics. As you can see from the photos, it has a mirror and a push-button to open the case. It has a plastic cover with imprinted Marc Jacobs to sort of protect the eyeshadows.

Investigating further, I was a little disappointed that a very creative Marc Jacobs forgot to name the eyeshadows. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7: by far the most imaginative palette, and I say that with sarcasm this time.

202 The Tease is basically a purple palette as four out of the seven shades are on the purple-ish side. It's a mix of matte, sheen and metallic finishes. Three are soft and buttery, two are powdery. The rest are just okay.

1 is dark purple with shimmery finish. It's easy to apply and blend but fades when buffed and blended out so reapplication is highly encouraged.
2 is gray-purple matte. It is moderately pigmented and a little powdery. I use this for smudging my lower lash line.
3 is pinkish- white with slight sheen finish. I use it mostly for highlighting my brow arch.
4 is pale beige with sheen finish, a little powdery again.

5 is pink frost. It's buttery and pigmented; my favorite from this palette.
6 is purple-pink matte. It makes a nice transition color from the crease up.
7 is dark purple glitter. While it applies nicely, the glitter factor is negligible as I can hardly see anything  glittery in my eyes.

Worn with eye primer, the wearability is about six hours. There's an obvious fading issue by the 8th hour.

The skinny. If you're a high-end brand collector who is curious about the whole Marc Jacobs Beauty hype, I can see you buying this palette wide awake, just because. If you are a makeup lover who wants to join the MJ (Marc Jacobs) beauty bandwagon, I can also see you buying it; to each his own, right? But if you are the value-for-money-type consumer, this is not your new manna from heaven. It's an okay, average palette. Nice to have but not a must-have, if that makes sense to you.

My take on 202 The Tease.

And some more....

Are you curious to buy Marc Jacobs Beauty? I want to try the lippy next time.

Stop blaming your shaky hands or the lack of skills. Experience is the best teacher. Try and try until you nail it. Trivial as it may sound but today we will touch-base on the dreaded cat-eyes. Yep, it's super fabulous yet it remains a challenge to most of us. Raise your brow if you agree.

One thing I tell you, the finer the felt-tip point of a liquid eyeliner, the more precise your cat-eyes are. The softer the tip, the more you can maneuver, hence less room for error. So far, I have pleasant experience with Kat Von D Tattoo Liner, Stila All Day Waterproof Eyeliner, and Eddie Funkhouser.

Now on to the quickie tutorial. Face the mirror and inhale. Don't over-analyze, it's just a line my dahlings!

1. Draw a diagonal line from the tip of your outer eye corner, pointing up. The higher the line, the more dramatic your cat-eyes will be. I'm all for natural yet flirty. I deal with patients, and last thing on my mind is to scare them, hahaha!

2. Drag line down, stop at the middle of your eyes. Again it's a preference but if you want a subtle cat-eye effect, this is the best tip I can offer.

3. Now fill in the space in between and extend the line to your inner eye corner but keep it as close to your lash line as possible.

Made a mistake? dampen q-tip with makeup remover. That easy!

Antique gold is one of Fall's uber coveted color. I honestly like its versatility and timeless appeal. Just switch up your lip color and boom! you can go from demure Monday to flirty Tuesday. That's what happened to me few days ago when I went back to back with antique gold.

Two days, two looks, one eyeshadow. For these FOTDs, I used Laura Mercier Sun Glow from the Summer Folkore collection. With a barely-there lipgloss from Estee Lauder (wild sugarcane), tweety bird says I can be as coy as a butterfly (haha, in my dreams!)

Now whip up Wet n Wild lippy (908 C sugar plum fairy) and this woman is on fire...

As in my previous fitness posts, I'd like to begin with a disclaimer that I am not a professional fitness instructor or trying to be one by any means. I'm like you. There are times that I'm just too lazy to even stretch out. Sometimes I pig out during weekends. And yeah brownies make me weak at the knees. But I have kept my ideal weight because my body is already trained to follow what my mind says. Discipline folks, that's the key.

Have I always been this health-concious? No. In my early to late 20s, I was at my chunkiest, very sickly, and with borderline high blood sugar. Food was my stress-reliever. I work hard. I eat hardest. Then my marketing job led me to an ultimate a-ha moment. I dealt with patients suffering from chronic kidney disease whose main lifeline is dialysis. Chronic kidney disease is the aftermath of long-standing diabetes and/ or hypertension. Diabetes and hypertension are common among obese individuals. Lifestyle-related? surely they are.

You see at my age now, I don't strive to be Victoria's Secret skinny. I am happy with my body even though some friends tell me I have lost so much weight that I looked different from way back then. But of course! One thing I would tell you though, I have never felt this fit in my whole thirty nine years of existence. That's why I made a personal goal: I want to be Fit and Fab at Four-O.

So are you ready to read my super practical tips to keep you tip-top fit?

    1. Choose exercise which you enjoy the most and commit to it. If you think diet alone can cut the fat, think again my dahlings! As we age, our metabolism slows down because our lifestyle has become more sedentary. You take the elevator instead of stairs. You park at the nearest entrance so you don't have to walk more.

'Been there, done that. Yoga, boxing, treadmill, I enjoyed attending a few sessions then quit. Reason being, it ain't for me. Treadmill for instance, bores the hell out of me. However when I dance, I sweat big time and feel happy & revved up after. So there, you have to find that exercise which you enjoy the most and stick to it. Recently, hula hoop is my thing. My waist lost two inches in about a month of gyration, at 10- minutes, 3x a week.

    2. F*ck fad diets, train yourself to eat everything in moderation. Sure you have to watch what you eat, less carbs and cholesterol for the win! But the more you deprive yourself of nicer things to eat, the more you will cheat the very next day. Believe it or not, I have the sweetest tooth but I have conditioned my mind that I can't have 500-calorie Dove chocolates in one sitting. One bite size is enough to satisfy that fondness. You don't have to eat every food in the buffet table. Choose fish over pork, pile up on veggies and cut back on your starch intake. Drink water in between, it helps you fill up, trust moi.

    3. If you can't eat fruits, drink 'em. Making your own smoothie rather than buying is a healthier alternative. But if you're on the go like me, try RE. It's sold in most whole food stores and Cotsco. It's packed with 21 fruits (yes you read it right). You got apples, apricot, blueberry, mangosteen, grapes. pear, among others. It's like your super antioxidant in a bottle. You may not like the color though, it's dark brown and the taste is a 'lil strong so I mix it with ice and chug. Revive!

    // PR Sample //

    4. Your mama was right, drink water! It sounds cliche but water has enormous benefits to our body. Drinking 8 glasses a day may seem like a big challenge but I gotta tell you, between soda and water, opt for the latter. I have a big jug of water I bring to work and that's my fuel in between patient care and admin work. 99% of the time, it's empty by the time I'm ready to go home. Water makes your skin look supple and youthful, it removes toxins from the body, it improves digestive system, the list goes on. There's a study published in 2002 in the American Journal of Medical Epidemiology which stated that drinking at least five glasses of water a day reduces heart attack compared to those who drink less than two glasses a day.

    5. Share your weight loss journey to your loved ones and friends. Moral support is important to keep the fire burning. Document your progress if you must, keep a food journal, blog if you have one. As in any challenge, knowing that you have the support of those who matter to you keeps you motivated. Ignore those who have nothing but shit to say. I've had "friends" who called me names when I was fat and still called me names now that I beat the bulge. It's about my life and health, not them.

I wish you success in your health journey. Just do it!

Cat eyes. Some days you nail it,  some nights you fail.
You start out clean then end looking mean.
Oh cat eyes! difficult as you are,
you make women look fabulous near or far!

Feeling poetic, that's what a liquid eyeliner can do for you. The sole reason? Kat Von D Tattoo Liner ($18, Sephora). Honestly, whether you're a noob or pro, this liner makes cat eyes easy peasy. No sweat girly, 'lemme tell you why.

Available in five colors, I purchased Maya (chocolate brown) because I'm getting tired of the classic 'ole black liquid liners. Okay, it's a lame excuse to use so I rest my case. It's an impulse purchase what else, haha!

As you can see from the photos, this liquid liner has a fine felt-tip point which makes lining very precise. So whether you're leaning towards thick or thin cat eyes, the result is fantabulous. The tip is soft, you never have to drag your eyes ever. My tip for winging it easy? Don't over-analyze, just do it. I have a separate tutorial using a pencil eyeliner, promise I'll do one for liquid next time.

One great thing about Kat Von D Tattoo liner? Smearing was never a problem for me. I wear makeup 10-12 hrs the most, and this stayed on until I'm ready to wipe it off. Color depth is relative but I had to go over the line twice to achieve a darker brown finish, but ya' know it's my preference.

So if you're still struggling with cat eyes and came to a conclusion that it could be your eyeliner and not your damn shaky hands, then yeah Kat Von D Tattoo Liner is worth a try!

  • I can't tell you enough how sick I am as I write this post. I thought I was invincible! You see I haven't been sick even with a cold for the last two years despite my daily interactions with patients. But I wasn't spared so here I am coughing, sniffling, blogging. May the force be with ya.

Such is the reason for today's FOTD (face of the day) post title. Moi no energy. Super dull face. So when all else fails, wing it emerald green.

    Curious with what I used?

It's Milani Ultra-fine liquid eyeliner in emerald glisten (about $7).  Please tell me you know that emerald green is 2013's color of the year (c'mon it's July already!). So while buying Dayquil and Nyquil few days ago, my feet re-routed me to the beauty aisle and even though I was sick as hell to be even thinking about makeup, my trip won't be complete without having one.

I'm not going to repeat what is obvious- yes it's a liquid eyeliner. yes it's emerald. yes it's felt-tip. But it will make sense if I say that it's a tad difficult to create that winged effect because the tip is stiff! It doesn't glide easily and I had to layer it three times to get the saturated green I wanted. But once it's dry it looks so pretty that I can fake sickness through and through. It didn't smudge or melt the whole time I was wearing it (more than ten hours max!).

This is the 3rd day I am rocking this winged emerald green so we might as well call this post Face of the Days.

    Have a wonderful weekend!

    Hachoo,
    Kathryne

Okay so another anti-aging product, what's up with that Kathryne? Oh well to some of you who quite know moi, I'm in my late 30s already and while I don't have evident wrinkles yet (hallelujah oily skin!), I have taken steps to preserve my youth while I still can. Okay scratch that youth because I just popped a bone here, hahaha. But seriously, age is just a number my dahlings! Feel young, look young. Laugh, stress-not, and load on anti-wrinkle creams baby!

I had the opportunity to try Hydroxatone AM/PM Anti-Wrinkles Complex ($69, 1 oz/ 30g). As the name implies, it's your morning and evening skincare buddy.

Ingredients: Water (Aqua), C12-15 Alkyl Benzoate, Sweet Almond (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) Oil, Sesame (Sesamum Indicum) Oil, Glycerin, Dimethicone, Sorbitan Stearate, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Ceteareth-20, Shea Butter (Butyrospermum Parkii), Stearic Acid, Butylene Glycol, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Sodium Hyaluronate, Panthenol, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma Cacao), Carbomer, Tocopheryl Acetate (Vitamin E), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Tetrasodium EDTA, Triethanolamine, BHT, Polysorbate-20, DMDM Hydantoin, Phenoxyethanol, Caprylyl Glycol, Propylene Glycol, Palmitoyl Oligopeptide, Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, Sorbic Acid, Pomegranate (Punica Granatum) Extract, Grape (Vitis Vinifera) Seed Extract, White Pine (Pinus Strobus) Bark Extract, Green Tea (Camellia Sinensis) Leaf Extract, Ginseng (Panax Ginseng) Extract, Chamomile (Matricaria Recutita) Flower Extract, Algae Extract, Bearberry (Arctostaphylos Uva-Ursi) Extract, Coneflower (Echinacea Angustifolia) Extract, Licorice (Glycyrrhiza Glabra) Root Extract.

I read your inquisitive mind. What makes it a recipe for youthful skin then? Four points to consider: (1) It has hyaluronic acid which retains skin moisture (2) Matrixyl3000 which helps skin to promote natural levels of collagen (3) Argireline which is a common anti-aging ingredient in cosmetics (4) SPF 15 which protects skin from harmful rays.

Give me the skinny, not textbook answers Kathryne. See I follow your frame of thought so here's my experience.

My initial reaction was oh shoot it's thick and creamy it'll make my oily face look even oilier. Another thing, I have gazillion olfactory nerves so the slight sunscreen scent didn't escape my nose which I don't mind at all during daytime. But night time, I'm a bit iffy because I'm more into chillaxin' notes of vanilla, almond, or to some extent lavender. Blame my doggy nose for bringing that up.

Now the better stuff. Surprisingly, it didn't exaggerate my oiliness issue despite the thick formula. But just so you know, I was only applying a pea-sized amount and that's good enough for my entire face. My skin felt supple and hydrated. I also didn't experience new breakouts.  Gut-feel says if you have dry skin, you might benefit more from this product as wrinkles are more noticeable with you ladies! (but you rarely have pimples so that's a plus! Sigh, this world is never perfect I tell ya!)

Bottom line, if you are looking for a simplified skincare routine, Hydroxatone might be the answer to your needs: it's your moisturizer + SPF + anti-wrinkle in 1.

Have you tried or are you curious to try Hydroxatone?

    Kathryne

                                                                                                                                    // PR Sample //

Much as I am into fun bright colors for summer all year-round, I must say I haven't been that experimental with my lashes. Reason being, my eyelashes are borderline boring they only respond to short-lived awesomeness, thanks to the 'ole great black mascara!

But never say nevah! Today I'm sharing with you an interesting find, a violet mascara made by Real Purity ($15), an organic company founded by registered nurse/ licensed cosmetologist and esthetician Virgina Easterling.

So what makes Real Purity really pure? First it's note-worthy to mention that Ms. Easterling is already into organics 'biz way back in the mid- 80s. In fact, Real Purity is one of the first companies in the world to have focused on 100% natural and organic health and beauty products. Four generations later, her company remains cruelty-free, with products still made in the USA.

Don't you think less is more when it comes to all- natural and/or organic product? How's this for a mascara?
Ingredients: Purified Water, Beeswax, Glycerin, Candellila Wax, Cellulose, Pure Plant Extracts (Sage, Ivy, Pycnogenol), Iron Oxides.
No kidding, that is one of the shortest list I have come across with in a long time!

But does it make any difference at all? Let's see.

For the nth time, check out my natural lashes (top right). Now you understand my predicament: Lifeless= boring=bleh. Coated twice with Real Purity mascara, there is somewhat an improvement but definitely not in tarantula proportion! Natural-looking is more like it, don't you think so?

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.  While this mascara didn't give me the length and volume (it never claimed to be one anyways), I like the fact that it didn't irritate my eyes. It also didn't smear, flake or smudge the whole ten hours I was wearing it so big props for that!

    Face of the Day
If you support cruelty-free products and love organic brands, I say why not add Real Purity to your list?   Honestly, I am curious to try their lippies and eye makeups!

    til my next post beauties,

    Kathryne

Whoever coined the word selfie should be given an honorary plaque of appreciation. No kidding! If you're on Instagram, you know exactly what I mean. It literally is the most hashtagged and uploaded photo! So what's this obsession with pictures of yourself taken by yourself? Honestly it's so contagious  even moi caught the #selfie virus, haha!

So let's talk about summer selfie-tanning a.k.a DIY tanning. I bought this tarte Brazilliance face and body self-tanner on a whim ($37, 5.5 fl oz/ 165ml, Sephora).

The irony of it all. You would think that for someone who lives five minutes away from the beach, faux tanning is the least of my concern right? Note to self: wake up Kathryne you're in Hawaii! Well truth is, I hardly have time to go to the beach, an utter shame I know! But see, I work 6 days a week and in my free time (which is usually in the evening), you'll either find me blogging or blogging. No exaggeration.

But it's a face and body self-tanner so I thought it was a wise choice; plus you get this mitt for ease of application. Excuses, excuses.

Ingredients: Water, Glycerin, Glyceryl Stearate, PEG-100 Stearate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Dimethicone, Fragrance, Cetyl Alcohol, Hydroxyethyl Acrylate/Sodium Acryloyldimethyl Taurate Copolymer, Phenoxyethanol, Ceteareth-20, Squalane, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Citric Acid, Potassium Sorbate, Cetyl Hydroxyethylcellulose, Xanthan Gum, Caprylyl Glycol, Chlorphenesin, Polysorbate 60, Sodium Metabisulfite, Stearyl Alcohol, Myristyl Alcohol, Amyl Cinnamal, Limonene, Sodium Nitrate, Passiflora Edulis Seed Oil, Linalool, Silica, Sodium Phosphate, Sodium Acetate, Citral, Geraniol, Dihydroxyacetone, Red 40 (CI 16035), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Blue 1 (CI 42090)

    Ready, tan, action!

Before: Just so you know, my legs are way lighter than my fez because they're practically covered all day, what with my daily work pants.
    After: Look mama, tan gams!

A tanner that moisturizes. At least that's how I would summarize my experience with tarte Brazilliance. My skin felt soft and hydrated even if I didn't have to moisturize prior to applying it (most self-tanners require that). I just had to exfoliate so well, especially my knees and elbows to avoid streaks. The mitt really came in handy, it was easy to use and wash. The formula is semi-creamy; about a quarter size is enough to cover one section of my leg. As it gets absorbed onto your skin (hours later), there is a teeny-weeny bit of citrusy fragrance which for the most part is negligible.

Tan without being tanorexic. Hub  loves my natural skin color so when I asked him if he noticed something different, he couldn't tell. But of course, that would depend on how much you apply and how often. Packaging says you have to use it once or twice a week to maintain natural-looking tan but in my case, I'd say it's thrice.

Want to see my head-to-tan? Hub took this photo of me while exercising the other day.

Are you summer #selfie ready? you bet I am. 100%.

What's you fave self-tanner? have you tried tarte?

Give your teeth some TBC. Tender Brightening Care.

Anyone who drinks coffee like water knows that it stains teeth big time. I am a coffee drinker and while I have drastically reduced my consumption to once a day, my teeth aren't model- photoshop perfection. Not that I aspire to have one anyway. I love me some crookedly healthy teeth dahlings!

I had the opportunity to try dentist-formulated Britenz, a teeth-whitening pen made for people on the go. Handy and small,  it fits perfectly in your everyday makeup bag.

Ingredients: 100% natural xylitol (beneficial for oral health and tooth enamel), Organic Aloe Vera (for healing and soothing; also addresses plaque and tartar build-up), CoQ10 (for maintaining healthy oral care), Natural Peppermint extract (as freshener).

Using it is as easy as 1-2-3. Open the cap, crank the tube until clear gel is dispensed, brush the applicator on dry teeth (wipe your teeth with tissue first). Rinsing isn't necessary. Avoid smoking, drinking coffee or wine, and eating any food that may negate the whitening process for at least an hour.

The proof is in the brushing! Based on my experience, this whitening pen lasted for one week, when used twice a day (morning and evening). I didn't experience any sensitivity or adverse reactions. It has no strong taste and rinsing is indeed unnecessary. However if you are expecting radical or over-the-top whiteness i.e. coming from severely icky yellow to obscenely white teeth, flat out I would say that this product isn't for you. The effect is subtle, more like gradual whitening! Britenz is a good addition to your hygiene but not enough to replace your dental visits. So if you're looking for something natural to maintain your pearly whites, try Britenz.

Where to buy? In most Whole Foods store, also Amazon.
    How much? About $10

What's your favorite way to whiten your teeth?

Let me get this off my chest first. I'm not a BBeliever. Not the Bieber por favor. But seriously I have ridiculously oily skin and most BB Creams I have tried in-store are simply too dewy for me. Dewy+Oily= WTF Pores!

But see I'm also concerned with maturing skin. I'm in my late 30s and even though oily skin has gifted me with unnoticeable wrinkles yet, aging loses skin's elasticity. Aging + Sagging= WTF Pores!

Lastly, I'm the type who's always in a hurry in the morning so a multi-tasking product that gets the job done is like manna from heaven.

Now that you know my concerns and somehow you can relate, let's talk mano-a-mano.

I had the opportunity to try Hydroxatone Anti-Aging BB Cream and in case you don't know yet (which I assume you do), BB cream is your makeup and skincare in one.

Hydroxatone in particular, claims to cater to all skin types, has SPF 40, hydrates, de-ages, protects, brightens and perfects skin in just one step.

Ingredients: Active: Titanium Dioxide 12.16%. Inactiv: Water, Cyclopentasiloxane, Butylene Glycol, Aluminum Starch Octenylsuccinate, Cetyl PEG/PPG-10/1 Dimethicone, PEG-10 Dimethicone, Phenyl Trimethicone, Caprylyl Methicone, Neopentyl Glycol Dicaprate, Glycereth-26, Ascorbyl Glucoside, Dimethicone, Alumina, Dimethicone/Vinyl Dimethicone Crosspolymer, Sodium Chloride, Dipropylene Glycol, Disteardimonium Hectorite, PEG/PPG-20/15 Dimethicone, PEG/PPG-18/18 Dimethicone, Panthenol, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein/PVP Crosspolymer, Caprylyl Glycol, Phenoxyethanol, Alcohol, Acrylates/C12-22 Alkyl Methacrylate Copolymer, Potassium Hydroxide, Boron Nitride, Methicone, Sodium PCA, Propanediol, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis Oil, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Tocopheryl Acetate, Allantoin, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Urea, Silica, Disodium EDTA, Malus Domestica Fruit Cell Culture Extract, Triethyoxycaprylylsilane, Adenosine, Propylene Glycol, Glycerin, EDTA, Ethylhexylglycerin, Oligopeptide-68, Sodium Hyaluronate, Ceramide 3, Lecithin, Viscum Album (Mistletoe) Leaf Extract, Melissa Officinalis Leaf Extract, Humulus Lupulus (Hops) Extract, Foeniculum Vulgare (Fennel) Fruit Extract, Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Flower Extract, Achillea Millefolium Extract, Beta-Glucan, Xanthan Gum, Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil, Sodium Oleate, Sodium Phosphate, Tocopherol, 1,2-Hexanediol, Phytosterols, Squalane, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Hydrolyzed Pea Protein, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, sh-Polypeptide- 7, Hydrogenated Lecithin, Fragrance, Potassium Sorbate, Benzoic Acid, Sodium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate, DMDM Hydantoin, Iron Oxides.

Pictures speak a thousand words so before I share my thoughts, here's the before/after and swatch (medium shade).

Before is au naturel, facing direct sunlight (by the window). After is with Hydroxatone, still with direct sunlight. Noticed any difference? Okay let's talk again.

The medium shade looked a bit lighter for my skin tone. It also produced a white cast, which is typical for sunscreen products. As to be expected, the dewy finish is there. Look closer, cheeks don't lie beauties!

Now here's a quick fix for the oiliness  dewiness, see I don't give up that easily! Lightly dab a blotting paper over your t-zone or whole face to absorb the extra moisture and then seal with matte powder.

Blending is a bit harder because the formula is thicker compared to a tinted moisturizer (I used foundation brush for obvious hygienic reasons). I also had to blot my face three times throughout the 8-hour wear.

But inexperienced as I am with the BB's of this world, there are some nice things worth sharing about Hydroxatone:

It does blur my open pores when blended and buffed properly. I don't need a primer to make it last through the day (maximum 8 hr-wear). It has citrus scent which I adore during summertime. Since it has SPF 40, I am protected against the mighty Hawaiian sun. And most of all, it didn't break me out! As to the promise of anti-aging, only time can tell. Wait til I'm 80, by then we'll be probably talking about ZZ Cream. Who knows, anything is possible.

You can buy Hydroxatone at Ulta ($39, 1.5 fl oz/ 45 ml)
