Fall 2012 Wearable Makeup Trend | Wine Berry Lips

Summer is winding down and as we all prepare for fall, I'll be featuring wearable makeup trends every now and then. To jumpstart, I'd like to highlight the return of the vamp ~ Dark Lips. Wine berry in particular.

This shade is a tad intimidating. For one, I don't own a lot of dark lippies. But looking at the above photo, I think I have a change of heart. Why not? Dark lips are mysterious, naughty and sexy.

To make it wearable office-wise or at daytime, I played around with graduating shades of brown for my eye makeup. I used dark brown on lids and shimmery light brown on crease. Then I lined and smudged my upper lash line with black eyeliner. I also highlighted my inner eye corner and brow arch with champagne shade. For that added warmth, I finished it with a peachy blush. Looks easy ha? Try it!

Products used:
Eyes: Silly for lids, Schitzo for crease, Stand-offish for brow arch & tear duct ~ all from thebalm nude'tude. I reviewed this palette, check it out!
Lips: Believe it or not, I won the entire lip collection from L'Oreal Infallible Le Rouge (all 30 shades!) from a photo contest last year. This shade is called Resilient Raisin.
Blush: Laura Mercier (sun soaked bronze)
Face: I used to be fan of Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation but it's no longer cruelty-free so am just consuming this last bottle.

What's your favorite look for fall?

I love to read and reply to legit comments. Don't waste your time writing spammy messages, they are deleted anyways. But other than that, this is a super chill blog so say hi and speak your mind.
