Sircuit Skin Cosmeceuticals | Savior + Problem Skin Cleanser and Double Trouble 5% L- lactic pomegranate acai peel

Sircuit Skin Cosmeceuticals, a cruelty-free company niched on skincare, sent me samples specifically targeting my greasy face. Reality check ~ I must have been in the front row when heaven showered oil to mankind, ouch!

savior + | problem skin cleanser (new supercharged formula) is a sulfate-free facial wash that exfoliates and reduces blemishes. Made with 2% salicylic acid and 5% l-lactic acid, it decongests pores and cleans skin sans over-drying.

Key ingredients include 5% l- lactic acid (a.k.a AHA/alpha hydroxy acid, exfoliating), 2% Salicylic acid (prevents breakouts), Organic aloe (soothing), Organic peppermint essential oil (soothing & cooling effect), Organic olive leaf extract (hydrating), Organic tea tree essential oil (antiseptic), Eucalyptus essential oil (antimicrobial), Clary essential oil (astringent), Rosemary essential oil (astringent), Lavender essential oil (purifying), Sodium hyaluronate (hydrating),  Organic orange peel oil (antioxidant/antibacterial), Meadowfoam seed essential oil (soothing), Organic shea butter (healing, soothing), Totarol (antioxidant, antibacterial).

The devil is in the details. Now that I have listed all ingredients, the cool-as-ice effect I feel after washing my face makes sense. Two words: minty & fresh. No, make it three ~ clean! I like the fact that  it's made from natural sources and preservative-free. If you're blemish-prone like me, you probably know that salicylic acid is our skin's ally (it reduces oil & prevent breakouts). A little warning though, since this cleanser contains l-lactic acid, an AHA (alpha hydroxy acid/ exfoliant), it may increase sun sensitivity. In short, never leave home without a sunscreen. Did it control oil? yes indeed but washing is just one aspect of skincare. If you're branching to all natural and cruelty-free brands, this baby is worth-trying.

double trouble | 5% l- lactic acid pomegranate acai peel is a natural at-home peel. The powerful combination of pomegranate and acai help hydrate skin, even out skin tone, and reduce visible signs of aging i.e  fine lines and wrinkles. It is suitable for all skin types, including those with oily skin and hyperpigmentation.

Key ingredients: Pomegranate fruit (nourishing, antioxidant,anti-aging), 5% l- lactic acid (exfoliating, skin softening), Lactobacillus/Punica granatum fruit ferment extract (exfoliating), Acai fruit extract (antioxidant, anti-aging), Tocopherol (D-Alpha) (Vitamin E), Mangosteen fruit extract (antioxidant, soothing, calming), Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A), Organic olive fruit oil (nourishing), Eclipta Prostrata extract/false daisy (skin conditioning), Tocotrienols (antioxidant, more powerful than Vit.E), Neem, Phytic acid (antioxidant), Moringa pterygosperma seed oil (skin brightening), Camu camu fruit extract (highest documented quantity of natural Vit.C; also contains calcium,beta-carotene,protein, leucine, thiamine, valine, serine; super antioxidant).

Peeling without tingling. Peeling without feeling. If you have tried at-home chemical peels, you will be surprised with the absence of tingling and unsightly peeling from this product. But then again, my experience could be different from yours so let me put a big caveat here. The insert recommends using it once a week, on clean skin, but not on the same day that you use another scrub or peel. Leave on for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. I used it twice a week though and pushed it to 25 minutes. Since using this peel, I noticed my skin to have brightened a bit. The scent is delectable, what with all the fruit concoctions.  Ssshhh....I think I'm addicted to it. Sunburn alert beauties! Since the key ingredient is AHA (alpha hydroxy axid), don't forget sunscreen.
